At Valley Care Derbyshire, we're looking for caring, reliable, and compassionate Care & Support Workers to join our friendly domiciliary care team, supporting people to live safely, independently, and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes.

What We Offer

  • £13.00 - £16.60 per hour (paid every two weeks)
  • 35p per mile mileage allowance* (*Additional mileage paid where the distance between two consecutive calls exceeds 4 miles)

Areas We Cover

We're currently recruiting Care & Support Workers in:

Buxton and the surrounding areas

We have full-time and part-time positions available and welcome applicants who want to join a supportive, family-oriented team where you'll be valued for the difference you make every day.

Typical Working Hours

  • Morning shifts: 7:00am, 8:00am  finishing around 2:00pm-3:00pm
  • Evening shifts: 3:00pm-10:00pm
  • Alternate weekends

About the Role

As a Care & Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred care and practical support to people in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

Your role may include:

  • Supporting people with personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing and toileting where required
  • Assisting with mobility and helping people use mobility aids safely
  • Preparing meals, snacks and drinks, and supporting with nutrition and hydration
  • Prompting or administering medication in accordance with care plans and training
  • Carrying out light household duties, including cleaning, laundry, changing bedding and keeping homes tidy
  • Providing companionship, emotional support and encouraging independence
  • Supporting people to access their local community, attend appointments or enjoy activities where appropriate
  • Delivering compassionate end-of-life care when required
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes in a person's wellbeing
