Valley Care has an exciting opportunity for a Care Manager in the Stockport area to join our new extra care scheme as a Care Manager based in the Cheadle area of Stockport, supporting adults aged 55 and over.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Care Manager to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care services. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives while ensuring compliance, quality, and operational excellence.
This position is working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with potential evening and weekend support in case of emergencies, particularly in the absence of the Registered Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards, including auditing and documentation checks
- Produce and manage daily rosters for care workers using the designated rostering system
- Maintain effective handover procedures across the service
- Implement and adhere to organisational policies and procedures in line with contract specifications
- Facilitate care assessments and regular reviews in accordance with guidelines
- Conduct supervision and on-site support for frontline staff
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations
- Support the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the service
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards and requirements
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with staff, customers, and stakeholders
- Lead, manage, and develop the frontline care team
- Maintain professional relationships with Local Authorities, CCGs, and other health and social care professionals
- Drive continuous improvement and development of care services
- Build meaningful relationships with customers and their families
- Support the Registered Manager with KPI monitoring and reporting
- Maintain a strong focus on delivering high-quality care services
About You
- Proven experience in a care management or senior care role
- Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
- Experience in care planning, assessments, and reviews
- A proactive, solution-focused approach
- Passionate about delivering outstanding care and support
